Rules – DZDE Chernarus
The server rules of DZDE Chernarus, a DayZ PlayStation server on Chernarus.
📖 SERVER RULES – DAYZ DEUTSCHLAND 📖
⚠️ By joining the server, you acknowledge and accept all rules. Ignorance of the rules does not protect you from punishment! The server team reserves the right to deal with violations on a case-by-case basis. ⚠️
§1 – General
1.1 Scope
- These rules apply to all players on DayZ Deutschland.
1.2 Prohibited Tools
- Cheats, hacks, duping, glitches and exploits are strictly prohibited.
- Violations will result in immediate consequences, up to and including a ban.
1.3 Bug Use & Performance Exploits
The intentional exploitation of game mechanics, items or known bugs in order to cause lag, CE errors or disconnects for other players is prohibited.
This includes in particular:
- Deliberately ordering, placing or stacking items (e.g. generators, dropped items) to intentionally impair server performance.
- Knowingly triggering or exploiting known performance bugs or exploits.
- Any other action demonstrably aimed at preventing other players from playing through technical issues.
Violations will result in immediate consequences, up to and including a ban.
§2 – Combat
2.1 PvP Rules
- Kill on Sight (KoS) is permitted (outside the Safe Zone).
2.2 Spawn Protection
- Deliberately taking advantage of the vulnerability of freshly spawned players ("spawn killing") is prohibited.
- Spawn killing includes, in particular, deliberately seeking out spawn areas or deliberately farming freshly spawned and practically defenceless players.
- Each case is assessed based on the overall situation. Factors such as equipment, weapons, location and the behaviour of the players involved may be taken into account.
- Not every kill of a poorly equipped or recently spawned player is automatically a rule violation.
2.3 Safe Zone
- The Safe Zone is located in Novy Sobor.
- Camping the Safe Zone is strictly prohibited!
§3 – Factions
3.1 Faction Size
- A faction must have at least 4 members.
- A faction may have at most 12 members.
- A member is any player who officially belongs to the faction, uses its base, plays under its flag or permanently cooperates with the faction.
- Intentionally circumventing the member limit through secondary factions, fake factions or similar arrangements is prohibited.
- Existing factions that exceed the limit when this rule comes into effect will be given a transition period, set by the server team, to comply.
3.2 Mandatory Factions
- If four or more players permanently and regularly play together, they must found an official faction.
- Permanent and regular cooperation includes, in particular, sharing a base, storing equipment together, raiding together, defending together or consistently appearing as a group.
- The server team assesses the faction requirement based on how the players actually behave in-game. Circumventing it through formal separation, changing affiliations or similar arrangements is not permitted.
3.3 Vehicle Limits
-
The following vehicle limits apply per faction:
-
Large factions (6 or more members):
- Maximum of 4 cars
- Maximum of 2 trucks
-
Small factions (up to 5 members):
- Maximum of 2 cars
- Maximum of 1 truck
-
-
Note: The Humvee counts as a car.
-
Vehicles are all persistently saved, drivable vehicles (cars, trucks, Humvees, etc.).
-
Existing factions currently above these limits have a 14-day transition period to adjust their vehicles.
-
Violations are dealt with by the server team; possible measures range from warnings and vehicle removal to temporary or permanent punishments.
3.4 Armbands
- Faction armbands may be captured but not worn. Wearing an armband assigned to a faction is only permitted for members of that faction. Armbands without a faction assignment may be worn by all players.
- There is no obligation to wear your own faction's armband.
§4 – Bases
4.1 Building Location & Accessibility
- Bases may only be built in fairly accessible locations.
- A structure counts as a base once a closed construction is recognisable.
- Glitch bases, builds under the map or in inaccessible areas are prohibited.
- Roads may only be built on in individual cases and after agreement with the admin team.
4.2 Containers & Passages
- Containers such as barrels, tents etc. must stand open and must not block entrances or exits.
4.3 Restrictions & Prohibited Areas
- The following facilities may not be built into a base: police stations, fire stations, petrol stations, wells, hospitals, hunting villages and all military facilities.
- A minimum distance of 500 m to all military areas and gas zones applies.
- A minimum distance of 200 m to the spawn points of dynamic military events (helicopter crash sites and military convoys) applies.
4.4 Structure & Layout
- A base must consist of one connected, closed structure; outside areas may not be built on.
- Minimum distance between bases: 250 m (factions 500 m).
4.5 Fences & Watchtowers
- Fences and watchtowers may only be placed on solid structures.
- Fences and watchtowers must have at least 50% of their logs touching solid ground (exception during raids: see raid rules).
- Fences may be stacked at most three high (or one watchtower high); no other fences or watchtowers may be stacked on top of watchtowers.
4.6 Base Size & Player Allocation
-
The base area may cover at most one flagpole radius.
-
Each player may only have one base.
-
Players who are members of a faction may not own a base of their own.
-
Stashes must not have a flagpole.
-
Stashes must be at least 500 m away from the base.
-
In the event of a faction merger, relocation or the admission of a player, old bases must be without a flag within 48 hours.
-
No walls, gates or logs may be built outside the flagpole radius.
-
The flagpole must be clearly recognisable inside the base, but does not have to be visible from outside. As soon as the base is entered, the flagpole must be visible.
4.7 Raidability & Protection
- Bases must remain raidable at all times – gates must not be dismantled and the lock must be reachable from outside!
- Walls and towers must be at least one player's width apart.
- Containers must not be placed in a way that affects the raidability of a base.
4.8 Takeover Rules
- Abandoned bases without a flag may be dismantled.
- Bases may only be dismantled after 48 hours of inactivity.
4.9 Flag Rules
-
A faction must have at least 6 members to request its own faction flag.
-
Faction flags must be raised (if available).
-
Players without a faction and factions with fewer than 6 members must raise the white flag.
-
Factions with 4-5 members receive a white flag.
§5 – Raids
5.1 General Rules
- Raids may only be carried out by linked accounts or registered multi-accounts.
- Raids are permitted at any time, provided no glitches or bugs are exploited.
- Locking other players' bases is prohibited!
- Building at enemy bases is permitted. During a raid, the building rules from §4 apply, extended by the restrictions in §5.2.
5.1.1 Base Damage Prohibited
- Outside the Purge, damaging or destroying base parts is prohibited. This includes in particular walls, gates, fences and watchtowers.
- This applies even though, since the last update, the game can no longer technically prevent base damage.
- Opening locks and building at enemy bases according to §5.2 remain permitted.
- Anyone who destroys walls will be banned automatically in the future.
5.2 Additional Restrictions on the Building Rules
- The logs of watchtowers and fences built during a raid must all touch solid ground.
- Fences and watchtowers may not be placed on vertical surfaces. This includes in particular building walls, stone walls, window sills, cliff faces and comparable structures.
5.3 Start of a Raid
- A raid begins when the lock is touched, the first shot is fired or an enemy base is entered.
5.4 Conduct During a Raid
- Intentionally logging out in or around the enemy base (200 m) is prohibited.
- During a raid, opening entrances is permitted (base damage only during the Purge, see §5.1.1). Deliberately dismantling or taking apart a base completely or extensively beyond the purpose of the raid is not permitted, in particular with the aim of making the base unusable or removing it entirely.
- The flagpole is off-limits – the flag must not be moved or removed.
5.4.1 Popcorning Prohibited
Intentionally emptying containers by dropping large amounts of items on the ground ("popcorning") is prohibited.
Items may be taken, relocated, destroyed or burned as part of a raid. However, deliberately leaving items on the ground in order to destroy them, obstruct other players or impair server performance is prohibited.
This prohibition applies both inside and outside of bases.
5.4.2 Containers Must Stay
- Outside the Purge, placed containers may not be taken out of the base during raids.
- Containers that are not placed (e.g. tents inside a tent or barrel) may be taken.
- Barrels always count as placed.
5.5 End of a Raid
- The raid ends when all attackers are dead, have retreated or have left the server.
5.6 Raid Cooldown & Evidence Requirement
- After a raid has ended, a 48-hour raid cooldown applies to all attackers (and their faction members) for the attacked base.
- Clip requirement: Important phases such as entering the base or opening the lock must be provable on video. We sometimes request complete clips if other rule violations besides getting in and out need to be checked – so protect yourself and always clip the whole raid!
5.7 Purge Event
- During the Purge Event, base damage is permitted for 3 hours (https://discord.com/events/1419310956604817410/1483179361648640071).
- The following rules are suspended for the duration of the Purge:
- Container protection is suspended
- Popcorning is permitted
- Destroying containers is permitted
- The raid cooldown only starts after the Purge, so interrupted raids may be resumed for the duration of the Purge.
- All other existing raid rules continue to apply in full during the Purge.
- Any ongoing raid must be ended immediately when the Purge ends.
- Until the end of the 24-hour raid cooldown after the Purge, all bases have full PVE status, meaning any combat there is prohibited.
- Attackers must have left the attacked base by the 00:00 restart at the latest.
- After the Purge ends, a server-wide 24-hour raid cooldown applies. During this period, no bases may be attacked or camped.
- After the Purge ends, attackers and defenders may no longer shoot at each other.
- Rule violations during the Purge are punished particularly severely.
- The 48-hour raid cooldown is suspended for the Purge (and may be extended by another 48 hours afterwards).

9.2 Severity & Repetition
- Serious or repeated violations result in an immediate ban.
- There is no entitlement to a warning or to proportionality.

10.1 Real Money Trading Prohibited
- Selling, buying or exchanging in-game currency, items or services for real money or monetary benefits outside the game is strictly prohibited.

10.4 No Right to Reimbursement
- Players have no right to reimbursement or restoration of removed balances, in particular in case of violations or justified suspicion.
10.5 Decision-Making Authority
- Whether a violation or suspicious behaviour has occurred is decided solely by the server team.
§11 – Multi-Accounts
In-game alternate accounts are generally permitted on our server.
Every in-game alternate account must be registered with the server team via a ticket before it is used, or immediately after its first use.
Alternate Discord accounts and linking multiple app accounts (e.g. to farm coins or other benefits) are prohibited.
§12 – Bunker
12.1 Logging Out in the Bunker / Gas Zone
- Logging out in the bunker or in the adjacent gas zone is strictly prohibited and will be punished accordingly.

- Every player chooses their own notifications. So do not mention server roles, only tag people when absolutely necessary, and never if the person has openly objected to it!
13.3 Tickets
Do not tag team members in tickets – the team assigns all requests itself. You may mention the name, but do not use a linked mention.
13.4 Highlights
The Highlights channel is for photos & videos only, no chatting. Do not provoke other players and do not tag players unless you know they want it. Here too: respectful behaviour is mandatory!
